Elm With Eli's Evolution Through The Years
I'm Eli Jennings, and I'm going to tell you a bit about how my podcast, Elm With Eli, started.
I first created Elm With Eli (originally "ELM") in late 2019 during the COVID-19 lockdown. I started the podcast as a fun thing to do to keep me occupied during the lockdown; however, I would have no idea it would go so far! As I said, it was originally called "ELM"; however, after around 3 years, I changed my mind and in its place decided to name it "Elm With Eli" instead. This is because I felt it was a more creative and specific podcast name, and it will not come up as the elm tree when you search it on Google.
I've had a few changes with my podcasts' cover art over the years. Initially, it was just a simple, plain green background with large black text in the centre saying 'ELM'. Since then I've decided to have a more attractive, professional, and eye-catching podcast cover art, so I had a professional designer on Fiverr do design a new one for me (which is as of right now the one what it is currently).
When I first created Elm with Eli, it wasn't Christian-based at all. It was simply just random episodes, and episodes of me interviewing people, which I conducted on my old, bad, bad-quality iPhone. Not to mention having no planning whatsoever, not even a script, and just responding to every answer with "yeah".
I now edit my own episodes, using the handy free audio-editing software, Audacity. Now, Elm With Eli is completely Christian-based. I used my original idea of interviewing and combined it with Christianity. I feel that is a great way to connect with people through a special way to spread the Word about God and His love, and it is a way I can tell people's stories! In short, each episode, I sit down with a special guest, who shares their encouraging walk with Christ, teaching us how to better live with God, and showing us how loving He is.
